Your account identifies you across workspaces. Signing in does not automatically put you into a team organization: check the workspace switcher after signing in. Accepting an invitation switches you to the organization you just joined.
Joining a team
You do not need to buy a personal plan to accept a team invitation. The organization owner manages its plan and seats.
